Recruitment Process

That's right.  The Gatekeepers are looking for YOU.

We've had a lot of new recruits lately.  Lots.  In fact, the company's size has swelled to that of a battalion.  For that, we are all eternally grateful to everyone bearing a Liao banner and a Gatekeeper nameplate. Now it's time for the next step.

Today we take a look at our recruitment process and take you through the simple process of becoming a Gatekeeper.  This process has organically sprouted out of the day-to-day actions of the battalion, and we're just going to stick with it.  However, for the first time we have it all spelled out nice and tidy.

Recruitment Process

1. Approach the Gatekeepers in any possible way, or just bear a Liao flag on MWO and you may be approached by Gatekeepers!  First contact can be handled in a number of ways, just check out the Recruitment Nexus.
2. Join TS.  We are a pretty tight-knit group, but we love to meet new Liao players.  TeamSpeak is also a requirement for induction in the company.
3. Play the game.  Drop with our boys.  Bear in mind that anyone in the TS is subject to ad-hoc lance assignment, so if you're ready to get with a team all you have to do is join.
• You must get along with our players.  We have a very relaxed attitude and come from a variety of social backgrounds.
• Respect the Liao Flag.  This is paramount.  No non-Liao will be permitted.
• Meet our Commanders.  This is really the only test or interview you will have.  After a few days, if they like you (and you like us), then Command will approach you to...
4. Pledge to the Liao Cháng-Chéng.  This is done in front of at least one officer of Sao-Shao rank or higher.
• Inducted at the rank of Sao-Wei (2nd Lieutenant).
• Choose a picture for your Gatekeepers Nameplate and add it to your MWO forum signature.  Check out examples here.
• We are an RPG battalion, so you will be asked about your Character Details.  Basically, your MWO mechwarrior is a living, breathing part of our company and will be represented in our stories here on the site.  Let us know about him!
5. Post with your new battalion nameplate on the MWO Recruitment Nexus!
• This one is important.  New recruits, please post here!  We need more exposure in the recruitment forum.

That's pretty much it.  Show up.  Game.  Remain.  Represent.
