Insignia of the Federated Suns

The Federated Suns has a long a brutal history with the Capellan Confederation.  They have been our most hated enemies since before the First Succession War.  It seems destined that we fight once again, and in the not so near future.

On August 20, 3028, First Prince Hanse Davion was married to the heir of the Lyran Commonwealth, Melissa Steiner.  With every ruler of the Successor States present, he uttered the infamous line "My dear, I give you...the Capellan Confederation." to his new bride.  Needless to say, Chancellor Maximilian Liao did not take kindly to these words.

The Fourth Succession War was said to have begun with that phrase, a "gift" to Davion's new bride.  It was the most devastating war the Capellan Confederation has ever known.  We lost many worlds that day, but we have persevered.  The Chancellor was succeeded by his second daughter, Romano Liao, who rules us to this day.
