In the Gatekeepers Battalion, we don't have a set 'uniform' that we are required to wear.  As we do not dictate individual builds any further than the broad Technical Guidelines and Roles, we do not dictate how you decorate your battlemechs.  However, there is a definite preference within the unit that you obtain our colors and wear them in whatever pattern you wish.

There are two key colors for the battalion:  Mica (found in the Limes color category in your 'mechlab) and Camo Black (in the Camo Greys section).  These two colors are the team colors, and your 'mech is guaranteed nods of approval from all your brethren if it sports these two.  The colors are cheap at 500 MC each (regular price) and obtaining them shows that you are invested with the unit.  If you happen to already have a green color or a black color, any of those will do, so long as they are easily seen as green and black.

For tertiary colors, we are happy to see individual and unique patterns on battlemechs.  So long as the primary colors are green and black (and it should be noted that black is the primary color in most cases, but not all) we are very happy with you.  However, there are a few favored contrasting colors that seem to turn up a lot, notably red, orange and white.

A few specific camo patterns turn up a lot as well.  Sherman and Phranken tend to show up the most, but if you go this route remember to buy the one-shot camo specs as they are only 1/10th the cost of the unlocks.  The pattern will remain on the 'mech until you change it, and you are allowed to change the colors as much as you want.  It will always be a better deal this way as the unlocks only apply to one chassis...unless you are going to change the pattern 10 or more times.

So there you have it!  We use black and green in various patterns that each individual chooses.  Get those colors and show unit pride, Gatekeepers!
