Doctrinal Evolution Report: Summer 2015

Time to shake things up!

A new evolution to the doctrine has been determined as advantageous, and is being patched into practice.  The changes have been (albeit informally) part of battalion doctrine for the best part of a week now, Command has been backtracking through several of the older bits to make sure things were in continuity before a general announcement.  In no particular order:

• We will be working closely with MRBC leadership to promote the league across our network.
• Certifications for new Recruits will be pursued relentlessly.  Full certification within a week or two is the target.  We need our people in the Lt. barracks for the upcoming competition.
• Basics should be finished within 2 days.
• Electronic Warfare is no longer a 'mech role. Instead, it will be moved to a doctrinal pattern allowing the concept to be used in a wider range of chassis and positions within a group / company.
• To retain HLGK XP when Certifications are rendered invalid we have created a "Pre-Cert" group to hold your collected points and apply them as a bonus.  Thus, you keep your previous credits and can certify in the new element as well.
• HLGK no longer imposes restrictions on battlemech chassis.  All Technical Guidelines and other criteria must still be met.
• Favored 'mechs still exist and you still gain HLGK XP for them.  The XP for each may be increased in the future, and yours will apply retro-actively.  As well as getting awarded in this manner, the Gatekeepers will look favorably upon you (in general).

The battalion has need of talented individuals of all media disciplines: art, video, music, writing, tapdancing and noodling (to name but a few).  Contact our Command Staff to get started, and show them your special talent.  In addition, two more Tactical Researchers will be appointed ahead of the MRBC season start.
